[...huh, didn’t you die? Well, maybe you didn’t. You might wake up feeling like you just woke up from a really vivid nightmare that you can still sort of feel the effects of or something… sure, you’re still in your old cabin, but maybe you can go out and see everyone?

...except when you go out, while it seems like the same old camp, things are a little… strange and pixelated. Also, the walls seem to have come down, but if you try to cross the barriers of where the walls were, you’ll find yourself right back at your cabin door.

[His hand is a little cold, but not terribly so - there's a momentary surprised look, before he relaxes and squeezes her hand.]

It's fine. [There's a tiny little smile on his face as he tugs her along so that they can walk down the trail together.]

[As expected, Clair follows after Yomiel. When not giving him the occasional glance, she'll be looking for anything out of the ordinary on the path; whether they be differences between the trail at camp or otherwise.]

[It's a lot nicer! The aesthetic here seems to be Lost Woods instead of Spoopy Forest, and it at least makes some differnce in that regard. There's a lot more trees, and the sun is shining and....there's some pretty big bushes too.]

Something about having found those who died. Their bodies, at least. Not exactly a good spot to eat, but it merits investigation.

Our bodies? Wait, you don't think our bodies will be there?

I don't know. It wouldn't make much sense, considering this is the afterlife, but we should investigate all the same. If there's any change of getting our lives back, we must do whatever it takes.

[There are seven warp pipes there, all of which are plugged up.]

Pipes, obviously, but I'm wondering why they're plugged up. This should have been the spot where the trophies are...

Trophies? [waaaaaait a second.] I thought you said our bodies would be here? What do you mean, trophies?

That's what they looked like! They were bodies, frozen in the exact way the victim died, with a stand at the bottom.

[MAYBE HE SHOULD'VE PAYED MORE ATTENTION but it's too late now]

Anyways, they obviously aren't here, and it looks like we can't get these plugs off, so...hm. What's the point of these pipes, though?

[For the record, no, the plugs aren't coming off. Tough luck.]

Maybe the previous group knows? Whatever the case may be, we won't find out if we can't get these plugs off.

Yeah. Maybe we should just leave them for now?

...Is there anything else around here that is worth checking out, do you know?

Not sure. Maybe we should go back and take another path? If nothing else, at least we can sit down and eat.

Let's take a break. [He puts his hands on his hips and lets out a sigh. Honestly, all this investigating is kind of tiring after several weeks of it.]

Do you need help setting the picnic up?

[It really does. Before wasn't so bad, when she could keep pushing herself past her limits, but now? Now she's starting to realize taking a break every now and again might not be a bad idea.]

I don't need any, but I'd like some.

[Raising her arm toward him, with the picnic basket in hand.]

You can take the mat. I'll handle the plates and food.

Alright, will do.

[He gives her a small smile, before taking the mat from the basket and moving to find a good clearing near the pipes where they can sit. It only takes a few seconds before he puts the mat on the ground, waiting expectantly for Clair to put the rest down on it.]

I haven't been on a picnic in years, honestly.

[Soon enough Clair's sitting on the mat, hands digging into the basket to pull out a few things. Plates, utensils, napkins, and more now rest on the mat. Enough for the both of them.]

Hopefully this one makes up for it. Is there anything special you'd like to eat? I...might have gone a little overboard, so it's probably in here.
